1 The Need

Our business had used an independent broker for many years and wanted to continue with a good service level that we felt had declined since the broker had been taken over by a larger brokerage and our account had been moved to multiple persons, as opposed to a single point of contact. We were particularly concerned about the reduction in the ease and speed of response to our enquiries. We were aware of Dean through his active LinkedIN page and recent small business awards. We contacted him to see if he could help us renegotiate our insurance policies.

2 The Solution

Due to the size and complexity of the business, I felt it was prudent to do a complete review of the policy in place, so I took a visit to the premises. The business were already with the insurance provider who could offer the best solutions, so I transferred the policy using a transparent fee. However the thorough review of the policy made it apparent that the business had not had a thorough management of their policies and upon taking over their accounts I was able to negotiate reductions on their existing policies, which resulted in a good financial outcome for the business. I also discovered that there were other sections of the policy that were not correctly listed and I was able to provide a further reduction in the overall premium

3 The Result

We feel very confident that we are now covered to the level that we need. Dean has taken the time to come out to our business premises and talk everything through with us so he is clear on our insurance needs. He responds to our questions with thought and skill very quickly which was something that we feel is important to us. His attention to detail has not only increased our confidence but has also decreased the overall cost of our policy and put money back into the business, a win win situation for us.
