1 The Need

The growth of a business especially when change of direction and adapting to the current climate in the care sector care needs a broker who can run with that and be as equally flexible in understanding the business needs 

We had worked for Dean in the past, when he was part of a small broker team and had always been pleased with his level of knowledge about the complexities of the Care Sector  and his service level.  Dean had moved on and the brokerage had been taken over by a larger group.  We had become less confident in the knowledge and service that we were being offered.  We saw that Dean had now started his own business and were keen to use him again.

 

2 The Solution

It was important to do a thorough review of the portfolio of the current insurances on place as there are so many aspects to the business that need to be covered.  I took the time to visit the premises and review the level of cover that they had in terms of value as well as type of cover.  I found that they were with the correct insurer and at the most competitive terms and so transferred the policy over to my management.  The visit did reveal gaps in the insurance cover and the levels to which they were insured. This is so important because underinsurance can have a significant impact on a business and its finances. Also, having the correct cover is equally important so the business is not left legally exposed and underinsured.

3 The Result

We are so pleased to be working with Dean again.  He is so quick to respond and always takes the time to fully consider our questions. We are confident that we have the correct cover now and can relax about this part of our business.

The future of the care market is very unstable so an essential part of stability is knowing I’m protected , covered correctly especially around new aspects such as cyber and directors insurance for us to move forward with confidence.
